All Students Welcome

In this 4 part workshop series, familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is the sister science to Yoga. Not only is it a powerful foundation to one’s own yoga practice, it is an important component to the methods of teaching authentic yoga in a class setting. Each workshop builds on itself, so attending all 4 parts is strongly recommended.

Come away with:

**A clear understanding of the use of Ayurvedic principles in teaching and designing a yoga practice.

**Self care practices appropriate to an individuals doshic constitution.

**How to adapt self care and practices to seasonal influences

Part 3 will include a review of parts 1 and 2 of the previous workshops, with a focus on autumn yoga and self- care as well as healthy food practices.

Ayurvedic autumn cleanse protocols will be discussed in depth and participants will design a cleanse protocol appropriate to their dosha.

Elise Faust has been a practicing yoga instructor for the past 20 years, specializing in alignment and breath/body connection. She is co-owner of Madison Family Chiropractors and has been a practicing Chiropractor for the past 22 years. 5 years ago she expanded her healing practice to include private counseling for people needing guidance and support in creating a healthy, whole lifestyle for themselves. Drawing on 600+hours of Ayurvedic training, Elise encourages patients to incorporate Ayurveda in their approach to health. To this end she guides people in nutrition, herbal use, essential oil use and a myriad of self-care practices. She is committed to helping people discover that true healing DOES come from within, and one must take ownership of their healing path for this to happen.

She is wife to her life partner Mark for 30 years, and mother to Taylor, 22, and Victoria, 28. She is an avid reader, and believes that as long as we are alive and have breath we are able to learn, expand and grow and heal.

These workshops will be in the format of casual lectures and hands on practice as well as discussions. Each participant will leave with a clearer understanding of how to most appropriately care for self and in so doing know better how to care for and reach their future students.
