In this workshop, students will review the fundamentals of using props in yoga and explore less familiar props and creative ways of using them. Students will gain a better understanding of the whys and hows of prop use in yoga for their own practice and/or as teachers. Leave with an increased confidence in exploring a range of creative uses for props for all types of asanas.
Topics to be covered:
What are props & how do they enhance yoga?
Reasons for using props (ie: it’s not to make the pose easier!)
Prop basics: blankets, bolsters, blocks, and belts
Beyond the basics: chairs, ropes, people, and more
Props for health conditions
