“After 2 major abdominal surgeries, I restarted my yoga practice with Moya and Restorative Yoga. Moya was so caring and supportive of my situation, and even though I wasn’t a yoga teacher (yet), she encouraged me to participate so that I could learn how to use Restorative Yoga on my own. I was really impressed with the thoroughness of the training and her level of knowledge of the method set up by Judith Hanson Lasater. Judith trained Moya and authorized her to certify teachers in Restorative Yoga. Moya is the best of the best, and I highly recommend this workshop for teachers and practicing yogis. If we’re lucky, Moya may also chant for us.”

– LEAH R. – FIVE POINTS YOGA MEMBER AND TEACHER

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF RESTORATIVE YOGA?

During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body are benefited. A few of the measurable results of deep relaxation include the manipulation of the nervous system to a parasympathetic dominant state, resulting in:

  • Reduction of blood pressure
  • Lowering of serum triglycerides and blood sugar levels in the blood
  • Increasing of the “good cholesterol” levels
  • Improvements in digestion, elimination and fertility
  • Reduction of muscle tension, insomnia and generalized fatigue

WHY TAKE THIS TRAINING?

There’s more to restorative yoga than lying around on bolsters. Restorative yoga is an unusual but incredibly powerful style of yoga to add to your arsenal as a Yoga teacher. By learning how to create, teach and guide a customized Restorative Yoga practice you’ll be able to serve your students in a transformative new way.
